At night, when darkness settles in, existing light becomes a rare and expressive visual element. In the photographic series Night Scenes, Dan Gazit draws attention to natural points of light – streetlamps, water reflections, illuminated objects, and passing flares – showing how light sketches space, constructs visual rhythm, and sometimes evokes motion.

The images are created without any added lighting; every light source is part of the environment. Gazit points our gaze to the glow within the dark, inviting us to pause and observe. Light here is not only the subject but also a structural form: dividing the frame, setting pace, and at times becoming abstract or painterly.
