In the Distorted Mirror is a photographic series that creates a visual dialogue between original and altered, between an earlier creation and its transformed reflection. Each image is composed of two halves: the top half features a work from the Embedded in the Sand series, while the bottom half is a distorted reflection of that image, created using a flexible mirror.
The result is a reflective yet fractured view — reality is stretched, bent, and at times nearly dissolved. The series explores how reflection can become its own spectacle, and how a minor mirror distortion can generate an entirely new visual experience. It’s a formal investigation into distortion, symmetry, and visual memory.
