In Secret Writing, Dan Gazit continues his exploration of the relationship between matter, light, and form—this time using the same technique developed in Embedded in the Sand, but with a key shift in lighting.
Instead of bottom light, a single, low side light illuminates the surface of the sand, revealing etched patterns that resemble signs, letters, or undeciphered scripts.
The viewer is invited to read, interpret, or even invent a language from these visual traces. The images echo ancient inscriptions, forgotten tongues, or primal forms of communication—while remaining open to imagination and subjective meaning.
