Alternate Life takes a familiar object — a sprouting potato — and transforms it into something unknown. Through close-up and macro photography, the once-domestic vegetable appears as an alien organism: tentacle-like offshoots erupt from its surface, forming a shape that is neither plant nor creature, but something in-between. Lighting choices enhance the ambiguity, casting shadows that suggest both birth and decay. This series explores transformation, unfamiliarity, and the thresholds between categories we usually take for granted — animate/inanimate, growth/rot, known/other.
